We are testing SocialCannon’s connector for Claude, where you sign in once and approve what Claude may do. Until it opens to everyone, Claude Desktop can use SocialCannon through our MCP server on your computer.
YOUR FIRST MESSAGE
Start with a practice post.
Practice posts are simulated from start to finish. Nothing reaches any social network, and Claude shows you a practice link to check the result.
Use SocialCannon to make a practice post that says: "Testing my new posting setup with Claude." Then show me what happened.
PRACTICE FIRST. THEN FOR REAL.
PRACTICE POST
Claude posts to the sandbox destination. SocialCannon simulates publishing, sends nothing to any network and returns a practice link so you can see what happened. Every account includes 100 practice posts.
REAL POST
Claude posts to a social account you connected in SocialCannon. It appears publicly on that network, straight away or at the time you schedule. Claude asks for your approval before it sends one.
YOU STAY IN CHARGE
SocialCannon labels each of its tools for Claude. Publishing, scheduling, replying, retrying and deleting are marked as changes, so Claude asks for your approval before it runs one. Reading your accounts, posts, calendar and comments is marked read-only.
Claude cannot connect or disconnect your social accounts, see your API secret or change your plan. You can revoke Claude at any time in SocialCannon under Settings → Connected assistants.
THINGS TO ASK CLAUDE
Draft a LinkedIn post announcing our new feature. Show me the draft first, then publish it to my LinkedIn account once I say yes.
Turn these notes into three Facebook posts and schedule them for Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am UK time. Show me all three before you schedule anything.
What is on my SocialCannon calendar for the next two weeks, and where are the gaps?
Show me the unread comments on my recent posts and draft a reply to each one for me to review.
Comments depend on the network: LinkedIn comments are not available, and Facebook and Instagram comments depend on each account’s permissions. Sending replies needs a paid plan.
FREE PLAN · NO CARD
X / Twitter publishing, replies to comments, post analytics, A/B tests and posting-time suggestions need a paid plan. Pro is $15 a month, with 20 connected accounts and 50 X posts per billing period.
No. You connect your social accounts in SocialCannon, and Claude gets a SocialCannon connection that you approved. It cannot connect or disconnect social accounts, see your API secret or change your plan.
SocialCannon marks every tool that publishes, schedules, replies, retries or deletes as a tool that changes your data, so Claude asks for your approval before each one. Tools that only read, such as listing your accounts or checking your calendar, run without asking. You can change a tool’s permission in Claude’s connector settings.
No. SocialCannon receives only what Claude sends to its tools, such as the text of a post you asked it to publish.
Claude gets SocialCannon’s reason and the safe next step. If a network may already have received the post, SocialCannon says so, so it can be checked instead of sent twice.
Revoke Claude in SocialCannon under Settings → Connected assistants. The connection stops working straight away. You can also remove the connector in Claude.
